OUR CHRISTMAS MANTLE
I feel like every year my mantle is lacking.
Mostly because up until this year my TV lived above the fireplace and I never felt very inspired to decorate around a big black box. With that situation solved, I knew I wanted to take full advantage - but quickly felt defeated over the cost of garland. I watched so many beautiful tutorials and hacks with people using 3 different peices of $80 garland - that’s just not in my budget.
So I went to Lowe’s and found a cheap $7 unlit garland, added my own string lights and filled it with vintage ornaments, my beaded clips, dried flowers from the garden and topped it with a bow. I love the decision to take it up over the mirror, leaving plenty of room for my stocking holders and other decor on the mantle.
