OUR VINTAGE HENREDON SOFAS

OUR VINTAGE HENREDON SOFAS

A normal saturday morning starting with a cup of coffee, cuddled up with my daughter as she watches her cartoons. I opened up Marketplace, looking for nothing specific and the first listing was two vintage Henredon sofas in what looked like emaculate condition for $200. I messaged immediately and didn’t hear back for 2 days, but it worked out and they are in my house and never ever leaving.

When we found the rug for this room back in November I immediately pictured it paired with blue sofas. I have been searching ever since, mostly for new ones or figuring I would have to find a vintage one and reupholster; but I have zero plans of that with these currently. They compliment it so perfectly and are in damn near perfect condition, considering they’re 50 years old.

The previous owner told us they were her originally her mother in laws and had been in her formal living room forever (likely not being sat on often). I usually have a little pit in my stomach on the way to pick up any upholstery secondhand; hoping it doesn’t smell like cat pee or cigarettes, or have bed bugs.. but not a single worry in sight with these two.
