FALL DINING APPRECIATION POST

FALL DINING APPRECIATION POST

I never gave our vintage dining table a proper post of it’s own and we just used the leaves in it for the first time last week. To my suprise, I love it this size! Now that the garage door is gone there is plenty of space to move around and it feels really nice.

Another marketplace find, the woman said to her knowledge it was built around 1905 and originally seated up to 10. I guess leaves got lost or discarded along the way but we can fit a comfortable 6, probably 8 if we needed to as is. I also moved the vintage sofa in here after we found these for the living room and we officially have and LOVE our kitchen couch. So very deVOL of us (I strive to be like them in every way). But seriously, we use this so much! A quick cup of coffee, somewhere to sit while someone else is cooking, extra seating for guests. I’ve been shocked at how much more useful it is in this room.

Also at risk of sounding weird, our house just really sings in the fall. I don’t know how to describe it - but the lighting it gets, I swear our paint colors look better.. maybe it’s just because it’s my favorite season, but either way - I really like the way this space is evolving.

And I definitely forgot to add the last chair to the table in all of these.

Oh well :)
